Abafar was a barren planet in the Outer Rim with a surface entirely composed of wastelands.
History[]
The shuttle carrying D-Squad crash-landed—after being damaged by a comet shower—in the wastelands that covered most of the planet, known as "the Void." After D-Squad had parted ways, they eventually regrouped at the town, Pons Ora.
Specfcations[]
Footsteps and shadows were instantly swept away there by a bizarre light so that navigation was a difficult matter in the landscape without any aiming point. The orange sky came from particles in the atmosphere that converted the sunlight into a flat orange glow. Thus there was no sun in sight and thus one less landmark. Still, life prevailed on the planet and Pons Ora, a former Rhydonium mining industry was located there. The CIS mined that material on Abafar during the Clone Wars.
