- "General Kenobi. You are the first Jedi I have entertained at our education center. Few possess a Jedi's resolve, and it is strength of will that is my greatest enemy."
- ―Keeper Agruss
Agruss was a male Zygerrian who served as the keeper of the Zygerrian Labor Processing Hub on Kadavo.
History[]
When Obi-Wan Kenobi was imprisoned there, the Keeper was an obese man confined to a hoverchair. Agruss was considered to have an extremely cruel nature, so common amongst slavers choosing to "dispose" of unruly slaves. While Kenobi was held there, the Jedi Master watched him drop several Togruta slaves into the lava under the Processing Hub. When Anakin Skywalker leads the Republic forces on a rescue mission, Keeper Agruss tried to send all of the slaves into the lava pits below them to deny the Jedi the chance to save them. Most of the Togruta were saved by Plo Koon, Ahsoka Tano, Commander Wolffe, and the Wolfpack troopers. He was held at the point of Obi-Wan's lightsaber, to which he remarked that a Jedi would not kill an unarmed man. However, non-Jedi Clone Captain Rex used his electrostaff to stab Agruss through the chest, killing him.
Trivia[]
- In the comic version of the Battle of Kiros, the keeper is arrested for his crimes, while in the Clone Wars television version, Captain Rex kills Agruss. Due to the Clone Wars having a higher canon rank than the comics, Keeper Agruss's death is his true fate.
