- "Raze the jungle to its roots. A hundred Wookiee pelts to whoever finds the Jedi."
- ―Babwa Venomor to his fellow Trandoshans
Babwa Venomor was a male Trandoshan commander who plundered Kashyyyk's resources while subjugating the world for the Galactic Empire. He and his Trandoshan forces razed numerous Wookiee villages in the forests. During the raid, he tried to destroy a Wookiee Jedi named Gungi, who survived Order 66.
Personality Traits[]
Babwa Venomor was a ruthless and cruel, but also experienced hunter who acted as the commander and leader of a opportunistic group of Trandoshans that were working for the Galactic Empire.
He cared only for trophies and bragging rights and was both greatly intrigued and interested by the promise of a Jedi survivor as a potential prize. He offered Wookiee pelts as a reward to his men for finding the Jedi, and was willing to risk anything to claim Gungi for himself, preferring to hunt alone and find and kill Gungi himself, rather than have the Imperial command alerted.
He showed both relentless determination when he pursued Gungi with murderous intent, inadvertently setting one of his soldiers on fire and leaving him unaided while pursuing the Jedi. In his final moments he showed fear when a group of vicious yellow spider-like creatures called Netcasters quickly overpowered him and dragged the screaming Trandoshan up the trees to his unforeseen doom.
Behind the scenes[]
Venomor first appeared in the Star Wars: The Bad Batch season two episode "Tribe" as the episode's main antagonist. He was originally created as the main villain of an unproduced story arc for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which would have also featured the Bad Batch fighting for the Wookiees alongside Yoda. He was voiced by JP Karliak.
