Barton IV was a remote ice planet which hosted an Imperial outpost in the year after the Clone Wars. The outpost's troops, led by Clone Commander Mayday, fell under attack by local insurgents who stole much of the gear they were protecting. The Empire neglected the outpost, and Mayday's request for aid, for months until Lieutenant Nolan and Clone Commander Crosshair were sent to recover the equipment.
By that point, only Mayday and two of his men remained, and they too were killed while dealing with the remaining insurgents. Enraged by the Empire's apathy towards these clones' sacrifice, Crosshair killed Lieutenant Nolan at the outpost and was then placed under arrest. After recovering what remained of the outpost's supplies, the Empire abandoned their installation on Barton IV.
