Clone troopers battling the Separatist invasion on Christophsis
The Battle of Christophsis was a battle that took place during the early part of the Clone Wars. It began when a CIS fleet attempted a takeover of the planet Christophsis because of its vital resources, many of which were needed for the war effort. When the natives sent a distress signal to the Republic, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi were sent to Christophsis along with two battalions of clone troopers to help the people of the planet. Upon arrival in the planet's orbit, a battle in space ensued, destroying Admiral Trench's ship. Trench was able to escape. Later, the Republic attempted to thwart the Separatist's invasion again, but it failed due to a spy who tipped off the CIS. After this, the Republic tried numerous times to attack the CIS, including one by Asajj Ventress.

Anakin's fleet against Trench's
Count Dooku had ordered Admiral Trench to blockade the resource-rich planet on Christophsis and block anyone from rescuing Bail Organa and his relief effort. The droid army had attacked the capital with Bail and some Clones inside with their new Hyena Droid Bombers, and the situation for the senator was becoming intense. Anakin lost a medical transport and attempted to pursue and destroy Admiral Trench's capital ship, the Invincible.
Landing on the Planet[]
The remaining blockade, consisting of a number of Munificent-class star frigates and Lucrehulk-class Battleships, could not stand against the Republic's fleet of Venator-class Star Destroyers. Admiral Yularen launched several wings of V-19s and Y-Wing Starfighters to engage the remaining enemy fleet. After breaking through, Generals Kenobi and Skywalker landed on the planet with Rex, Cody, the 501st, and the 212th Attack Battalion while Yularen held off the weak remainder of the Separatist Armada.
