Bruu Jun-Fan was a male Human Jedi Master who served during the Clone Wars. The Jedi was known for his exceptional skill with a Lightsaber and The Force, despite his age and lack of experience.
Biography[]
Shortly after the resurrection of Sith Lord Darth Maul in 20 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi was lured into a trap for Maul to exact his revenge on him. After Kenobi narrowly escaped Maul and his brother, Savage Opress, with the aid of Asajj Ventress, the Jedi Council swiftly organized a Jedi strike force to deal with the Sith. Plo Koon, having volunteered himself, suggested Jun-Fan join the team as well due to his extraordinary skill. Jun-Fan, along with the strike team, consisting of his padawan, Tatsu, and masters Kenobi, Koon, Grohto, and Ko Solok, traveled to the world of Yellowblade's Landing to search for Maul. They discovered his Turtle Tanker on the surface and a cantina, whose patrons were all massacred, including the members of the pirate group known as Scourge, soon following.
Jun-Fan soon used his Force abilities to trace the Sith to a cave that held multiple wampas. The team of Jedi soon arrived at the cave to find the Sith lords had been awaiting them, holding a woman, who had been held there previously, as a shield. Maul then hit a control that released the wampas from their cages to cover their retreat. Jun-Fan ordered their clone detachment to hold their fire as he swiftly dispatched all the creatures single-handedly. Meanwhile, Maul and Opress escaped to a landed ship just outside. Masters Solok and Grohto, who had been guarding the entrance, were knocked aside by them, and padawan Tatsu's fool-hearty attempt to stop them cost him his right hand. Maul stabbed Grohto to save Kenobi, who was caught in the Sith's force grip. Jun-Fan assisted his padawan to safety and traced the Sith assassins' to their next target on Pleem's Nexus.
By the time the remaining Jedi arrived, the Sith had killed everyone in Esano's house and took a large portion of their wealth. Plo engaged Opress, nearly resulting in his suffocation at the loss of his breath mask, while Jun-Fan fought Maul. His rage grew at the death of master Solok, and he nearly strangled Maul with his bare hands. But the Sith merely stabbed him with his sharpened foot and escaped as a healed Kenobi arrived with Anakin Skywalker. Jun-Fan felt the Force take him in and soon died in Koon's arms.
