Cham Syndulla was a Twi'lek freedom fighter who arose on Ryloth during the Clone Wars, after the Separatists invaded his homeworld. He led his people in a resistance movement that helped turn the tide of the Battle of Ryloth, joining forces with Jedi Master Mace Windu and the Galactic Republic's forces to capture the capital city, Lessu. Syndulla continued to fight with the Republic throughout the Clone wars, garnering the support of his people.
Biography[]
Cham Syndulla was a political maverick whose views often clashed with Twi'lek senator Orn Free Taa, which led to Syndulla's departure from the political arena. He went on to become a dedicated fighter with no tolerance for corruption or dishonesty. He managed to form his group of warriors to combat against Separatist forces invading his homeworld. In the end, Syndulla only sought liberty to his fellow Twi'leks.
Supply Lines[]
During the Separatist invasion, Ryloth Cham and his freedom fighters helped Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di and Captain Keeli. The Freedom fighter noted they were running out of food, water, and munitions. Di told Dao to ask the Council to send reinforcements, but when Dao reported his plea, his cruiser was demolished.
Cham and his troops, along with Di, retreated. Captain Keeli reported the right flank collapsed, and they were all stuck together. Cham and his troopers retreated as Di, and the remaining troopers defended the Twi'leks. Keeli and Di fought bravely, but they both died. Luckily, the Toydarian relief supplies were sent, and the Twi'leks got food. Later, Tambor's droid army pushed on and fought Syndulla and his troops. Ahsoka, Anakin, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan Kenobi were sent to aid Ryloth. Cham and his troops could not fight and fled and made shelter from a crashed Trade Federation carrier.
Liberty on Ryloth[]
After Anakin and Ahsoka destroyed the blockade and Obi-Wan freed some cities, Mace went to the help of Cham. Mace explained about Cham allying with him and the corrupt Twi'lek Senator Orn Free Taa. Cham and Taa both made promises, and Mace fought alongside Cham to free Lessu. They freed the capital, and Mace guarded Tambor. Cham and his soldiers arrested him. After the liberation of Ryloth, Cham and Taa allied to keep Ryloth safe.
