Clone Commandos, better known as Republic Commandos, were clone troopers with advanced training, far more than those of ARC troopers, except that they were designed to completely follow orders.

The Commandos partook in any dangerous combat missions and often went to enemy-occupied worlds for recon missions. Unlike most other clones, commandos had more free will and, because of this, were able to complete missions without permission or morale interfering.

Clone commandos worked in squads, which consisted of four clones who were trained in specific tasks.
