"When I close my eyes, I picture myself up there and I feel it. The instruments help guide you, but you plot your course. You're free."
―Hera Syndulla describes her dreams of flying[src]

Hera Syndulla was a female Twi'lek who was the daughter of freedom fighter Cham Syndulla. Born on Ryloth, Hera grew up during the Clone Wars, living in hiding from the battles on her homeworld with her mother, Eleni. Inspired by the starfighters of the Galactic Republic flying over her home in the Battle of Ryloth, she dreamed of becoming a pilot when she grew up.
