The House of Organa was the ruling family of the planet Alderaan. Bail Organa became the viceroy of the planet after marrying the ruler and queen of Alderaan, Breha Organa. Bail and Breha Organa after the fall of the Republic and the Jedi Order and the formation of the Galactic Empire, they adopted the daughter of the former Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala, Leia Amidala Skywalker. The family became almost extinct in 0 BBY after the Death Star destroyed the Alderaan, after the Empire realized that the family members were also the members of the rebellion.
