Crystal Cave

Ilum was an ice planet in the Unknown Regions that was one of the few known locations in the galaxy that contained Kyber Crystals, used by Jedi to construct their Lightsabers. Jedi Initiates would travel to the Crystal Caves for the rite of passage known as the Gathering, where they would undergo mental trials in order to obtain their crystals.
During the Clone Wars, Count Dooku sent Chameleon droids to destroy the Crystal Caves on Ilum so the Jedi could not produce lightsabers. While the droids were defeated by Jedi Masters Yoda, Luminara Unduli and Padawan Barriss Offee, the damage inflicted on the caves took over a year to repair.
