The Invulnerable was a Providence-class carrier/destroyer commanded by Separatist Admiral Trench during the Clone Wars. The dreadnought served as Trench's flagship during the Battle for Anaxes, attacking the Republic shipyards on the planet. Commanding his forces from the bridge, Trench used a strategic algorithm to outmatch the Republic at every turn. Trench nearly secured victory on Anaxes until a Clone Commando squad, Clone Force 99, infiltrated the dreadnought and sabotaged Trench's command. Though Trench attempted to destroy Anaxes, he was killed by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker after giving up the sequence to disarm the bomb. Skywalker then used Trench's own self-destruct system to destroy the Invulnerable, crippling the Separatist fleet along with it.

Admiral Trench took command of the Invulnerable in 19 BBY and led a fleet to disrupt the Outer Rim Sieges by attacking the Republic shipyards on Anaxes. During the battle, Trench made use of a strategic algorithm stolen from Clone Captain Rex to anticipate the Republic's every tactic and overwhelm their forces. Unbeknownst to him, the Republic had discovered the origin of Trench's information: intel from the mind of ARC Trooper Echo, who was being held captive on Skako Minor. The elite Clone Commando squad the "Bad Batch," led by Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex, led a rogue mission on Skako Minor that freed Echo from his prison, thereby severing Trench's strategic advantage.
Clone Force 99 then mounted an incursion onto the Invulnerable to sabotage Trench's command as the Republic retook their primary assembly complex. Plugged into the mainframe, Echo fed Trench false intel on the Republic's strategy that brought all deployed battle droids to the complex. Once they were all in one place, Echo transmitted a pulse that shut them all down at once. Realizing the pulse originated from aboard the Invulnerable, Trench severed the team's connection to his ship by overloading Echo's neural net and dispatched security droids to eliminate the intruders. The admiral then activated his contingency plan: a bomb at the fusion reactor of the assembly complex, powerful enough to destroy most of Anaxes. Trench awaited the bomb's detonation and prepared his forces for their next invasion of the planet.
However, Skywalker fought his way to the bridge and coerced Trench into telling him the sequence to disarm the bomb. Trench complied, but while Skywalker relayed the information to the others, Trench activated his electro-staff and attempted to disable Skywalker, who retaliated by stabbing him through the chest. As Trench collapsed onto the deck, Skywalker activated the Invulnerable's self-destruct system and allowed demolitions expert Wrecker to hit the detonator. The Invulnerable destroyed herself, damaging several surrounding cruisers in the blast.
