A Jedi Youngling was a student of the Jedi Order in the early stages of their training. Typically recruited to the Order in infancy, younglings began learning the ways of the Jedi as children through lessons and practice overseen by Jedi Masters such as Yoda and Tera Sinube. Once they progressed far enough, they would undergo the sacred Jedi tradition of building their own lightsabers in a rite of passage known as the Gathering.
