Kiros was idyllic world filled of vast green valleys and flowing waterfalls and was the site of a colony of Togruta artists, led by Governor Roshti.

The Togruta colony tried to avoid taking sides in the Clone Wars, but Count Dooku arrived on-planet with a droid army, and "insisted" the colonists accept his offer of protection. Within ten standard rotations, all 50,000 Togruta colonists had vanished and many were enslaved by the Zygerrian Slavers Guild while Republic and Separtist forces fought on the surface of the planet. When Anakin Skywalker and his padawan Ahsoka Tano captured Darts D'Nar, who taken control of the planet into his own hands, decided to find the colonists and return them to their home.
