Mantu was a male bounty hunter who competed in The Box during the Clone Wars.
History[]
Mantu was a male Selkath who was considered aggressive and ruthless, qualities rarely seen in most other Selkath. Mantu gained a reputation as a notorious bounty hunter so much so that he caught Count Dooku's eye, who selected him along with ten other bounty hunters to compete in the box for a chance to kidnap Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. The Selkath survived until the third room where he was raised up on a platform as ray shields closed in. While Derrown, another contestant, was working on shutting off the ray shields, his shoulder hit one of the shields and he lost his footing, nearly falling into the other shield. When the platform the other survivors were on collapsed, they escaped to the next one. However, Mantu began to fall. Obi-Wan Kenobi, disguised as Rako Hardeen, tried to grab Mantu and pull him up but it was in vain as Mantu fell into the shield and was electrocuted to death.
