Baron Papanoida was a male Pantoran statesman and playwright. When Chairman Chi Cho died on Orto Plutonia, he became the new chairman of the Pantoran Assembly. He had three children: Ion, Che Amanwe and Chi Eekway Papanoida.

Papanoida battles thugs holding his daughter hostage on Tatooine
When the Trade Federation blockaded Pantora, Papanoida relied to Senator Riyo Chuchi to plead for assistance in the Senate in ending the blockade.
But the Federation kidnapped his two daughters and held them hostage. Papanoida thought his daughters may be on the battleship blockading Pantora so he sent Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Senator Riyo Chuchi to investigate. In the meantime, he and his son Ion started their own investigation. Although the Coruscant Security Force didn't find any clues in the quarters Papanoida found some blood smeared on one of his idols. Analyzing the blood he found out that it belonged to the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo. When they where at the palace of Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine where Greedo was at the moment, they captured Greedo and brought him to Jabba. Greedo said that Chi was held in a cantina in Mos Eisley. When they where at the cantina, Papanoida saved Chi and they returned to Coruscant. In the meantime, Tano and Chuchi rescued Che Amanwe.
