"Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?"

"Nomad Droids" is the sixth episode of the fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is the seventy-second episode of the series overall. It was released on October 14, 2011 on Cartoon Network.

C-3PO and R2-D2's bizarre caper continues. Forced to escape a Separatist attack in a Y-wing fighter, the droids visit the world of the Patitites, the odd planet Balnab, and the inside of a pirate warship where they are forced to fight in a gladiatorial arena.

After assisting the system of Aleen, C-3PO and R2-D2 are taken on board Adi Gallia's Republic attack cruiser to return to Coruscant. During their voyage, the attack cruiser is invaded by General Grievous and his droid forces. As C-3PO and R2-D2 attempt to escape, R2 decides to take a Y-wing as their means of exit, much to C-3PO's criticism.

A Vulture Droid soon trails the droids, however R2 manages to quickly destroy it. After a crash landing, the droids find themselves on the planet of Patitite Pattuna, where they are attacked and deactivated by the local Patitite people. The two droids wake up to find that the Paititites had tied them down. 3PO comments on how rude it is to greet a visitor in such a way, but the natives state that their leader, Hay-Zu, claims that there are no friendly visitors and describes how his dictatorship has brought harm to them. Hay-Zu soon arrives in person and interrogates the two droids. After C-3PO attempts to reason with him, agrees to give the two droids the chance to leave the planet.

Although they are freed, R2-D2 confronts Hay-Zu with hostile intentions. As C-3PO reprimands him, he knocks down R2, who smashes Hay-Zu in the process. The two droids are then praised by the Patitites and even request C-3PO to be their new leader. C-3PO declines and tries to hold a vote among the Patitites, but the vote soon turns into a brawl over the position. 3PO and R2-D2 leave as they continue to fight.
