Oppo Rancisis was a Thisspiasian Jedi Master and served on the Jedi High Council in the decades leading up to the Clone Wars and during the Clone Wars.
Biography[]
Knighting of Anakin Skywalker[]
Being one of the leading, most senior Councilors, Oppo Rancisis participated in many discussions, including Anakin Skywalker's knighthood. While some of the Jedi, like Ki-Adi Mundi, thought they should not hold the Chosen One back, Oppo Rancisis felt that Anakin was not ready to become a Jedi Knight; he lacked discipline. Yoda countered that Rancisis often disobeyed him from time to time in his youth. But even with his opposition, the matter was settled, and the Council decided that Anakin would become a Knight.
Voices[]
At the near end of the Clone Wars conflict, Rancisis continued to serve on the council. He was present when Grand Master Yoda told the Jedi Council that he heard the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn, who was killed by Darth Maul years before the Clone Wars. He mediated with the Council members, so if they could sense Jinn, unfortunately, none of them did, including Yoda.
The Big Bang[]
At the near end of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi seeks advice from the Jedi High Council while pursuing an enormous Kyber Crystal that the Sugi arms dealers attempted to sell a Kyber Crystal with General Grievous.
Later, following the destruction of the Kyber Crystal, Rancisis was also present when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker reported to the Council.
