The Outer Rim was a region at the edge of the known galaxy, located far from the core worlds planets here. The Outer Rim was plaqued by lawlessness and slavery and often controlled by criminal elements like the Hutts. Many of the worlds in the Outer Rim territories were considered outside of Republic space, and it was often under heavy patrol by the 501st Legion.
