Project War-Mantle was an initiative within the Galactic Empire that began shortly after the end of the Clone Wars with the aim of replacing the Clone Army of the old Galactic Republic with soldiers conscripted from humans from around the galaxy. The project sought to encourage unity in the newly formed Empire by filling the ranks of the Imperial Army with its own citizens. Kaminoan Prime Minister Lama Su opposed the project as it would undercut his cloning production entirely. Vice Admiral Rampart was one of the leading members of Project War-Mantle, assigning a squad of Elite Squad Troopers to the command of Clone Commando, Crosshair.
