"Sphere of Influence" is the fourth episode of the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is the forty-eighth episode of the series overall. It was released on October 1, 2010 on Cartoon Network.
Premise[]
Chairman Papanoida's family is kidnapped and held for ransom. Ahsoka must team up with the Senator from Pantora, Riyo Chuchi, to aid the new chairman in recovering his family before the Trade Federation can unduly influence the future of his planet.

Behind the scenes[]
- "Sphere of Influence" is the sequel to the Season 1 episode "Trespass."
- The original draft of this episode took place before "Trespass" with Chairman Chi Cho appearing prior to his death, while Papanoida served merely as an envoy of the Pantoran assembly.
- This early story concept had Chairman Cho conspiring with Sib Canay in the kidnapping plot, trading Pantora's allegiance to the Separatists in exchange for sovereign control over Orto Plutonia. Riyo Chuchi and Ahsoka Tano would have investigated him on Pantora, leading them to Che Amanwe Papanoida being held at the Trade Federation embassy. The finished episode plays out similarly to the original plot, but aboard the Trade Federation control ship instead of on the planet, with an unidentified Neimoidian envoy replacing Cho as co-conspirator.
