Star Wars: Tales is an anthology series of animated shorts produced by Lucasfilm Animation and released on Disney+. It is a spinoff of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and shares its animation style and voice cast. Each season has a different title and features two characters who are the focus of three episodes each with six episodes per season.
It began with Tales of the Jedi on October 26, 2022. A second season, titled Tales of the Empire, was released on May 4, 2024. A third season, titled Tales of the Underworld, was first shown at Star Wars Celebration Japan and released on May 4, 2025.

Tales of the Jedi[]
Tales of the Jedi was first revealed in December 2021 with a logo that was leaked online from the Lucasfilm employee Christmas card. It was officially announced on April 27, 2022 as part of a panel for an upcoming Star Wars convention, Celebration Anaheim 2022. All six episodes were released at once on October 26 of that year.
Tales of the Empire[]
At Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, Dave Filoni announced that Tales of the Jedi would receive a second season to be released the following year. On April 4, 2024, StarWars.com revealed a poster and trailer for the new season, now titled Tales of the Empire, with all episodes streaming on May 4.
Tales of the Underworld[]
On April 2, 2025, a new poster and trailer were released for the third installment in the series, Tales of the Underworld, which was released on May 4 of that year.
