Umbara, also known as "Shadow World", was a dark planet within the Ghost Nebula sector of the Expansion Region. It was the home planet of the Umbarans, a race of pale near-humans who developed advanced weapons and technologies.

Clone Wars[]
Umbarans battle forces of the Grand Army of the Republic on their homeworld.
Senator Mee Deechi represented the planet in the Senate until his death, which caused the planet to leave the Republic and join the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
Shortly after, Republic forces launched a planetary invasion to claim the planet. This led to a grueling multi-day campaign in which clone forces struggled to overcome the Umbarans' technologically superior weapons and machines.
