The Yaruba Family of Kessel was the ruling family of the infamous spice mining planet, Kessel. The royal family lived in the southern, lush sanctuaries of Kessel in luxury, while the slaves lived in famine and poverty in the northern part of Kessel and worked in brutal conditions in the spice mines. In 19 BBY a member of the family, Yaruba ruled as king of the planet with Kinash Lock serving as the king's majordomo.
